Acide hyaluronique de comblement

Hyaluronic acid filler injections are a popular minimally invasive aesthetic treatment for wrinkle reduction and facial volume enhancement. Here’s what you need to know:

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body that can bind large amounts of water. It occurs naturally in skin, joints, and connective tissue. With age, its concentration decreases, leading to the formation of wrinkles and volume loss.

Application Areas of Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers are used in the following areas:

Wrinkle Treatment:

  • Nasolabial folds (between the nose and the corner of the mouth)
  • Marionette lines (from the corner of the mouth downwards)
  • Forehead lines and frown lines (limited – more suitable for botulinum toxin)
  • Cheek augmentation / cheekbone enhancement
  • Tear trough filling (for dark circles under the eyes)
  • Chin and jawline contouring
  • Non-surgical nose correction (“Non-surgical rhinoplasty”)

Treatment Duration & Effects

  • Treatment duration: approximately 15–45 minutes under anesthetic gel
  • Visible results: immediate, with slight swelling
  • Durability: approximately 6 to 18 months (depending on the product, region, and metabolism)

Risks & Side Effects

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects:

  • Redness, swelling, minor bruising (temporary)
  • Bumps (rare)
  • Infections (rare, but possible)

👉 Important: The treatment should only be performed by experienced plastic surgeons or qualified dermatologists.

Dissolvability of Hyaluronic Acid

  • A major advantage: Hyaluronic acid is reversible. In rare cases of complications such as excess volume, it can be dissolved using the enzyme hyaluronidase.

What you should consider before treatment:

  • No aspirin or blood thinners 3 days before (to avoid hematomas).
  • No alcohol 24 hours before the appointment.
  • Attend the consultation.
  • Choose a reputable clinic with specialists (certificates, experience, hygiene!).
